A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCA CO-PRESIDENTS

Dear GWL Families,

November is here, and we have SO much to be thankful for! 🍂

A big THANK YOU to our amazing GWL teachers and staff for all they do for our students, and to the wonderful volunteers who help make our events, fundraisers, and enrichment programs possible. It truly takes a village!

It was great seeing everyone at our October evening SCA meeting! Thanks for sharing your ideas and feedback. We encourage all families to join our member meetings and visit the SCA website to stay in the loop and find ways to get involved.

📅 Join us Tuesday, November 10 at 9:00 AM in the auditorium for our next SCA member meeting, featuring a special presentation by Ms. Marcantonio. Can't make it in person? We'll have a Zoom option, too!

📚 Book Fair kicks off on Monday Nov. 16th. Join us Tuesday evening (Nov. 17th) for Family Night 4:00-6:00 PM

What's The SCA Been Up To?

Exceeded our $25,000 Boosterthon Goal by over $5K!! ($30,700 raised!)
Brought 2 Incredible Grade Level Enrichment Programs to our school:
- 4th gr-Journey into Indian Territory
- 5th gr-SMLI Ecosystems & Endangered Species with SMLI
Sponsored GWL's 6th Annual Trunk or Treat Tradition with a record 23 spook-tacularly creative trunks!
Delighted all GWL Students with 460 Pumpkins at our first GWL Pumpkin Patch Event! Very few pumpkins were harmed in the making of this magical moment.
Treated our wonderful Custodial/Security Staff to a Luncheon.
Decorated the front of GWL for our Halloween Parade!

Jen & Joe Conforti for hosting the 6th Annual SCA Trunk or Treat - it was scary how much fun we had! Huge thanks to all the parents who decorated their creative trunks and donated candy.
Angela LoBello and Rosa's Pizza Port Washington for chairing the Pizza Fundraiser, also benefitting the 5th Grade, at this year's Trunk or Treat!
