A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCA CO-PRESIDENTS

Dear Glenwood Landing Families,
Spring has finally arrived, and with it comes a season full of exciting events and announcements!

First, a huge thank you to Nicole Muia, Jackie Furino, and Anna Carfagno for organizing this year’s fabulous Parents’ Night Out event and fundraiser. And thank you to everyone who donated items, volunteered, participated in the auction, or came out to celebrate with us. Your support helped us raise funds that will directly enhance enrichment programming for our students—Mardi Gras spirit and meaningful impact all in one night.

The GWL SCA is also excited to once again offer a $1,000 Merit Scholarship to a current North Shore High School graduating senior who attended and graduated from Glenwood Landing Elementary School. Applicants may submit an essay or create a project describing a memory or experience from their time at GWL that has shaped who they are today. If you have—or know—a graduating senior, please encourage them to contact the High School Guidance Office for an application. Applications are due April 14th.

Thank you to Nicole Muia, Jackie Furino & Ana Carfagno for all their hard work in chairing another amazing and successful Parents' Night Out event! Thank you to all parent volunteers who helped in so many different ways, leading up to and during the event! Thanks to Ms. Moran for working with our students on creating the gorgeous paintings that were auctioned off. Thank you to our faculty who have generously donated their time for the silent auction teacher experiences. We appreciate you all!

Thank you to Jennifer DellaPolla & Anna Carfagno for chairing the amazing school play, Frozen Jr.! A special thanks to Ms. Moran for working with Stage Design Crew to create the stunning backdrop and the Kindergarteners who created auditorium decorations. We would also like to thank the many parent volunteers who helped throughout the duration of practices after school as well as creating the set, supervising the children, and helping in many capacities. We will never Let It Go from our memories....it was a stunning performance!
