Dear GWL Families,
It has been a great start to the school year! And now, with Fall upon us, there are more exciting events ahead. On Oct. 21st, support the 5th grade by attending the Islanders game at UBS Arena. On Oct. 24th, we hope to see you at the annual SCA sponsored Trunk or Treat event held at Tappen Beach Marina. Decorate your trunk, dress up, donate candy and join us for what is sure to be a boo-tastic good time! We will continue to celebrate at the Halloween parade on Oct. 31st at 2pm in front of GWL.
We encourage everyone to join us for our October SCA member meeting on Tuesday, October 14th at 7:30pm at La Spezia located at 400 Glen Cove Ave in Sea Cliff. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about what is happening in our school, learn how you can become more involved, and meet other parents. The SCA plays an integral role in the additional enrichment programs our children enjoy throughout the year and it can only happen with community support and involvement. At the member meeting, we will be voting on the 2025-2026 SCA budget. There will be appetizers, a complimentary glass of wine, and a cash bar. We look forward to seeing you there!
