Welcome Back! It's the start of a new school year and on behalf of the GWL SCA Board, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new and returning families to the Glenwood Landing School. We look forward to making the 2021/2022 school year a great one. We also would like to thank the SCA Board members and parent volunteers. We look forward to working with all of you this school year, some for the first time. Our success is due in large part to the many volunteers who work tirelessly to organize events and fundraisers that are fun for all!
Join the SCA
The SCA plays a vital role in the additional enrichment programs our children enjoy throughout the year, so more community involvement results in a better experience for the students at Glenwood Landing. We encourage you to join. By paying dues, you become a SCA member. And as a SCA member, not only do you help fund these programs in part, but you can attend the monthly SCA meetings and gain access to our new online school directory! Meetings alternate every month between morning and night in order to accommodate all members. During these meetings, a lot of pertinent information is discussed. Each Board member will give an update on relevant topics such as school fundraisers, SCA funds, volunteer opportunities, and building maintenance. Student presentations on SCA funded events, and school and district updates are also given. Members can also bring up any questions or concerns they have and the Board will escalate issues that are not addressed during these discussions. Click here to become a member now!
Stay Connected
In an effort to keep everyone informed, the SCA will send out monthly newsletters of all upcoming events and activities to members. Please remember to register on the new SCA website to gain access to all updates and information regarding the SCA. You can also download the REMIND app (text @gwlsca to 81010 to join) so you won’t miss a thing! Also, check out our calendar for a list of upcoming district, school and SCA events in September.
Fundraising & Volunteering
We also have some fundraisers and volunteer efforts that kick off with the school year as well. Please consider participating to start the school year off #VIKINGSTRONG!
SCA Gifts & Purchases
To welcome your children back to school, they will again receive their student planners or folders provided by the SCA. We have also purchased additional mats and picnic tables for the children to utilize while outside during outdoor classroom instruction and lunch.
